A Rural Gathering Place in the Walla Walla Valley
Rooted in heritage, timeless traditions, and meaningful community connections
Who We Are
The Selah is a rural community gathering space located in the heart of the Walla Walla Valley’s agricultural landscape. Originally a working hay barn, the structure has been thoughtfully preserved as a place for community connection, youth programs, seasonal events, and meaningful celebrations.
We host a limited number of gatherings each year with respect for the surrounding rural environment and the farming families who call this area home.
Ways Our Space Is Used
Jeff and Jerilynn Hall have called the Walla Walla Valley home for more than 30 years. It’s where they raised their children — and now where they are blessed to watch their grandchildren grow. Their lives are shaped by the steady rhythms of Selah living — wheat fields turning gold, evenings by the fire, animals in the yard, and the quiet beauty of open sky.
Over time, The Selah became a backdrop for grandchildren running barefoot through the grass, children holding chickens for the first time, hayrides filled with laughter, and neighbors lingering in conversation as the sun sets behind the fields. Embracing this life felt natural — a way to preserve something authentic and share the simple joys of rural living.
For Jeff and Jerilynn, this space is about connection — about watching kids experience the country for the first time, about families gathering around a fire, and about honoring a lifestyle rooted in simplicity and gratitude.
At its heart, The Selah is simply a place to pause and gather — grounded in heritage and the enduring beauty of rural life.
